Parish-wide book study. The book we will be reading is “Start with Jesus” by Julianne Stanz. This book can be a powerful tool in helping you grow in your own discipleship? At the same time, it provides a pathway for parishes to help become a community of disciples who help others grow in discipleship, and of course, it all starts with Jesus.
Deacon Mike and Lisa Christiansen, our Evangelization & Discipleship Coordinator, are so excited about this book that they have even made their own videos to help share their thoughts and highlights with the small groups for each chapter.
But wait, there’s more! The author herself, Julianne Stanz, will be coming to St. Bernard to speak about the book later this spring!
We already have 10 small groups consisting of over 80 people signed up to read this book, and the list is growing! All materials are free. While the majority of our groups meet during our Wednesday Discipleship Nights because of food and fellowship offered during that time, there are also some groups who meet at other times.
