From January to April 2024 our adult small groups will be participating in our parish-wide book study! This year we are reading the book Encounter Jesus by Fr. Dave Pivonka and Deacon Ralph Poyo.
In order to grow together in discipleship, we’ve found it helpful to hold a parish-wide book study for several reasons:
- to provide a shared lens through which our parish members can view and discuss a topic
- to introduce or emphasize points we sometimes overlook or find difficult to discuss as leaders
- to keep our parishioners aligned with our parish vision and mission
Each year, the book for the book study is selected by our Pastoral Leader, Deacon Mike Eash, and our Evangelization & Discipleship Coordinator, Lisa Christiansen. Each book study is designed to lead our participants along the Discipleship Pathway inspired by our Bishop, David Ricken: Discover Jesus – Follow Jesus – Love Jesus – Share Jesus.
Our past parish book studies include:
- 2022 – From Christendom to Apostolic Mission by University of Mary et al.
- 2023 – Start With Jesus by Julianne Stanz
