Jim has been a member of St. Bernard Parish since 1966 and has been employed by the parish since 1999. His commitment to the parish runs deep. He remembers as a junior in high school setting up chairs in the Xavier High School gym and cafeteria for weekly Sunday masses well before the parish building was constructed.
Prior to serving at St. Bernards Jim had many roles including student, US Army soldier, painter and owner of Piette Painting & Sandblasting which he co-owned with his father.
Jim and his wife Jean were married at St. Bernard's in 1973 and have two grown children and three grandchildren who are the "apples of his eye".
Today you can find Jim constantly caring for God's house. Whether he is mowing the lawn, coordinating the church renovation, setting up meeting rooms or working with parishioners, Jim always has a friendly smile and "hello" for those he encounters.
