Deb Holzem

Deb has been Elementary Coordinator for St. Bernard Parish since 2015. Her job responsibilities include coordination of kindergarten through grade six Wednesday faith formation classes, family nights, Children’s Liturgy of the Word, as well as assisting with first Sacraments preparation.

Deb is married and has three children ages 15, 19 and 25 and a four-legged child who goes by the name of Wendy.  She grew up in Wausau and attended UW-Madison for a bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education. Over the years she has picked up a variety of graduate credits and is currently in the Emmaus Program through the diocese studying theology. Deb and her family enjoy traveling, hiking, and camping together and when not out on adventures you can find Deb curling up with her favorite book or composing in her journal.

"I am passionate about Jesus and children and am privileged to be able to bring the two of them together in my work.  My hope for St. Bernard Parish is to grow disciples from grandparents to parents, and children. I hope everyone who walks through our doors will say, “These people are full of living water!”"
