Do you know that you can set a prayer reminder in myParish app? How about setting one to pray the Angelus everyday at noon? As early as the 12th century the practice of praying 3 Hail Mary’s in a row was in use (although the Angelus as we pray it today came into being in the 16th century). The prayers were repeated early in the morning and at midday. This is a moment of prayer, then, that has been used to sanctify the first part of the day for centuries and that also prayed to rescue Christianity in difficult moments. Wouldn’t it be cool if all of our phones started “pinging” at noon to remind all of us to take time to invoke the Blessed Mother?
