Christ's ministry was one of hospitality, extending a hand and welcoming all with open arms. Following Christ's example, the ushers and greeters at St. Bernard are people who provide assistance before and during the liturgy. They are there to make you feel welcomed and to attend to your needs during the Mass. Our hospitality ministers are able to see the presence of Christ in each person as they arrive
Serving as a Hospitality Minister is an excellent way to get to know parishioners. We especially invite families to serve in this ministry, as a simple way to teach children to help serve others in our community. This ministry is open to all parishioners; men and women, people of all ages.
Ministers serve once a month at the liturgy of their choice but are encouraged to serve whenever there is an opening. For more information, contact Rhonda.
Our Greeters are part of the Hospitality Ministry Team. Our goal is to help individuals feel welcome and part of the St. Bernard family, whether they are a life-long parishioner or a first-time visitor. Many people look to our weekend liturgies as a chance to be uplifted and share Christ's love with one another. It is the greeter who opens the door to a kindly church and the potential of a spiritually refreshing worship experience.
The commitment time is only 30 minutes a month before the liturgy of your choice and training is provided. For more information, contact Rhonda.

Our Ushers are part of the Hospitality Ministry Team. They see themselves as servants of the faith community. Ushers have the opportunity to bring the welcome of Christ to the moment. They assist the greeters in providing an environment that "All Are Welcome". They may also assist you in finding a seat and may help you find your way around the church. In essence they have the opportunity and responsibility to represent the rest of the congregation in offering hospitality before, during and after each Mass.
The commitment time is once a month at the liturgy of your choice. Training is provided. This is an excellent ministry for families to be engaged with. For more information, contact Rhonda.
