High School students are a vibrant, important part of our parish community! Life nights happen from October through April, three weeks each month - around half of the weeks are in the class room, learning about a topic of our faith, journaling, and small group sharing. The remainder of the weeks are spread between, retreats, service opportunities, and at home/family study. Both catechism and encountering our Lord are important parts of the faith for all of us, including our high school students. We try to both form in the faith, and provide opportunities to encounter Jesus Christ here at St. Bernard Parish.
Life Teen has a simple mission: To Lead Teens Closer to Christ. This mission is accomplished through a vibrant Eucharistic spirituality and opportunities for teens to grow in their faith. Life Teen is experiential-based, non-classroom model of systematic catechesis. Teen discipleship is formed from Christ-centered relational ministry. We offer teenagers a hope-filled environment where teens feel loved and accepted.
Life Teen is more than a program; it is life transforming for not just our teens but for everyone involved. Life Teen is dedicated to the Blessed Virgin Mary, guided by the Holy Spirit, and grounded in the sacraments. When you combine the power of the Holy Spirit, the intercession of our Blessed Mother, and the sacramental focus on Christ with the passion, zeal, and creativity of teenagers the possibilities for transformation are limitless!
Life Teen at St. Bernard happens about three times a month.
