LENTEN OPPORTUNITIES

February 22
Masses and
Distribution of Ashes
8:00 am and 6:00 pm

Ash Wednesday marks the beginning of Lent, the season of fasting, praying and almsgiving. This is a special time to sharpen the focus of our spiritual life and unite our hearts with Jesus. Ashes will be distributed in the traditional manner, a cross marked on the forehead.

Discipleship Nights

This Lent our parish will be offering three small group studies.

THE CHOSEN – Season I
Share in the life of Jesus. No matter where you are in your journey with Jesus Christ, this study is for you.

WILD GOOSE
The Wild Goose series will help you Follow Jesus into a deeper relationship with the Holy Spirit, and will transform you and bring you freedom. If you allow him, the Holy Spirit will lead you to place mercy, healing, peace and presence.

Life in the Spirit Seminar
The Life in the Spirit Seminar serves as an introduction to a life lived in the power of the Holy Spirit. It provides seven sessions of teaching, guidance, sharing, andprayer, leading to a new or deeper relationship with the Lord.

Holy Hour & Adoration

Spending time with Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament is a special way to pray. We offer Holy Hour with adoration during Lent on the following dates:

  • March 7
    • “My Beloved” praying the chaplet of the Precious Blood
  • April 4
    • “I am for You” praying the Way of the Cross by Fr Mark Toups
  • March 21
    • “For Dads” praying the Rosary of St. Joseph

Silent Adoration by Candlelight
Friday – April 2
6:00 – 8:00 pm

Come and spend some time in silent adoration before the Blessed Sacrament. The prayerfulness of the silence is enhanced by surrounding the altar with candles, the only light provided in the sanctuary.

Penance Service
Wednesday, March 27
6:00 pm

Lent is a time to celebrate the reconciling love and healing graces of Jesus. He desires to forgive us and bring us healing and wholeness. Join us for an evening of pondering the Word of God, examining our consciences to prepare for the sacrament of Reconciliation. After the prayer service, individual confession will be available.
