A mentor from St. Bernard Parish will assist you in finding answers to these and other questions you may have. Mentors will lead you to resources and experts in the church to further your spiritual growth.
Are you looking for a buddy who you can sit with at Mass, who will explain how the Communion lines work, and accompany you to Coffee and Rolls?
Would you like to have a person explain the many programs and offerings at St. Bernard Parish?
Would you like help in figuring out how to use the special gifts and talents that you have in order to be more involved at St. Bernard?

What a Mentor will do for you? - Our mentors will provide the time and caring that it takes to establish spiritual companionship with you. Our trained mentors will share their knowledge and expertise about St. Bernard Parish to help you find your unique place at St. Bernard Parish. Our mentors will make themselves available to meet with you, offer great support and answer relevant questions about St. Bernard Parish.
Father Dennis Ryan will match a mentor with newcomers. This relationship of the mentee and mentor will last for approximately three months. Our mentors will help newcomers explore and participate in activities that they outline together.
Deacon Mike Eash will match mentors with RCIA candidates to help them familiarize themselves with St. Bernard Parish and its many activities for approximately three months.
Colleen Sargent-Day will match parishioners who have taken a strengths class with a mentor. Parishioners who desire to grow in their understanding of how their strengths are used at home, with their family, in the activities at church, and in their workplace., we want mentor you. The relationship of the mentee and mentor would last for approximately 6 to 12 months.
